Iconography of Christ

Christ was portrayed in the Byzantine Empire in the years prior and following the iconoclastic period in many different mediums and images, specifically between the 3rd and 9th century. By looking at images and objects such as the mosaic of Christ as the Sun God, sculpture of Christ as the Good Shepherd, Icon of The Blessing Christ, and The Iconoclasts and the Crucifixion page from the Chludov Psalter. In comparing the mediums in which these images were created, how these images and objects were used/viewed, these diverse objects show how Christ was portrayed throughout the centuries.
